Alisa Rosenthal is a Chicago-based wearer of many hats! She performs a vaudeville-style comedy act as the ukulele-totin' Plucky Rosenthal, with local variety spots including the Chicago Women's Funny Festival, Zanies, The Paper Machete, The Kates, Beast Women, Vaudezilla, Kiss Kiss Cabaret, and opening for silent movies at The Music Box Theatre. Fundraisers include THAW (Links Hall), Barrel of Monkeys, One Billion Rising Chicago, The Human Rights Campaign, and the Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers. National: The Andy Kaufman Awards (NY, semi-finalist), Twin Cities Jewish Humor Festival (MN), Artscape Baltimore (MD), Celebration Barn (ME). She's produced two solo shows in addition to the ensemble variety show THE PLUCKY SHOW and Chicago's only variety open mic. She currently teaches at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and previous teaching experience includes Girls Rock Chicago and My Gym Children's Fitness Center. WHEW!
